1. The Service

AuthorBid AI provides an AI-powered proposal writing tool for freelancers, accessible at app.authorbid.com. The service helps users draft freelance proposals — it does not guarantee any outcome, client response, or work won.

2. AI-Generated Content

Proposals generated by AuthorBid AI are created by artificial intelligence. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any proposal before sending it to a client
• AuthorBid AI makes no guarantee that proposals will result in winning bids, client responses, or any specific outcome
• You must not use generated content that is false, misleading, or misrepresents your experience or qualifications

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false information or impersonate another person
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
• Resell or redistribute the service without written permission
• Use the service to generate spam or bulk unsolicited messages

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@authorbid.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

AuthorBid AI offers monthly subscription plans. All plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. After the trial, your plan renews automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

6. Refunds

If you cancel within your 7-day free trial you will not be charged. For paid periods, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@authorbid.com within 7 days of a charge if you believe a refund is warranted.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated proposals will be accurate, suitable, or effective. Use of the service is entirely at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuthorBid AI, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost contracts, or loss of data arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any proposals you generate using the service. AuthorBid AI retains ownership of the platform, software, and underlying technology. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@authorbid.com.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes by email.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
